The CAMFEST (Complementary and Alternative Medicine Festival) and exhibition is being held for the first time internationally in the city of Van, Turkey. The aim of this significant event is to create a space for interaction and showcase the potentials and capabilities of complementary, traditional, and medical therapies in the fields of research, science and technology parks, innovation centers, ecological conditions, plant coverage, and herbal industries. The festival also focuses on innovative medical technologies, various therapeutic and diagnostic methods in complementary medicine (such as acupuncture, homeopathy, chiropractic, traditional Chinese medicine, etc.).

Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) is a diverse group of systems, services, and medical and health care practices. According to the World Health Organization (WHO) report, more than three-quarters of the world’s population use Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) for their healthcare needs.

Cam-fest international event program

Presentation of the latest research, investigations, and achievements of researchers and knowledge-based companies in the form of products, articles, and journals in the field of complementary, traditional, medical, and alternative medicines, herbal medicines, and related equipment.
Introduction of the development and expansion of therapeutic and diagnostic methods in complementary, alternative, and traditional medicine, and the potentials of these methods in the field of medical tourism in neighboring countries and Europe.
Facilitation of investment, commercialization, and practical application of research results and innovations in the field of herbal medicines, therapeutic methods, and novel medical technologies in Turkey and other countries.
Identification, introduction, and recognition of the high-ranking positions of scientists, researchers, inventors, innovators, and technologists in the field of complementary medicine, Iranian traditional medicine, traditional pharmacy, in the areas of education, research, and service provision.
Establishment of a health center for complementary medicines (traditional medicine, acupuncture, massage, diagnostic sciences such as iridology, etc.) with free visits for participants.
Introduction and sale of Iranian medicinal plants in international exhibitions to showcase the diversity and application of these plants in the export sector.
Exhibition of equipment and innovations in the field of complementary and traditional medicines.
Display of technologies, inventions, and research in the medical field.
Nano-technology in treatment and pharmaceuticals.
Innovations in radiology and medical imaging.
Introduction of novel laboratory equipment.

This festival will be held with the presence of the Head of the Turkish Inventors Association, a representative from the European Academy of Sciences, a representative from the International Peace Organization in Turkey, the Head of the Entrepreneurship Center in Van Province, a professor from the Faculty of Medicine at Van University, a faculty member of Tehran University of Medical Sciences, the Head of the Organization of Specialists and Managers in Iran, the Head of the National Foundation for Enduring Figures, and a member of the executive committee of the Iran-Russia Chamber of Commerce.
